The fans of Alex Trebek were shocked when they learned that the Jeopardy host has pancreatic cancer and it’s stage 4 already. His fans prayed for him, and Alek proclaimed he’ll always be faithful to God while he’s battling cancer. Alex said, “I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working, keep the faith and we’ll win. We’ll get it done.”
Alex’s fans prayed, and it made Alex happy. The Christian personality said, “People all over America have been sharing their good thoughts, their advice, and their prayers. I feel that it is making a difference in my well-being.”
The Christian community celebrated when they received the news that Alex doesn’t need chemotherapy anymore and he’ll be on Jeopardy’s 36th season. Unfortunately, it’s just a short-lived celebration.
Alex said, “I was doing so well. And my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer. So we were all very optimistic.”
The doctors of the Christian celebrity stopped his chemo, and they’re planning to do immunotherapy, but there’s a setback on Alex’s pancreatic cancer medication. Alex told Good Morning America, “I lost about 12 pounds in a week. And my numbers went sky high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. So, the doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that’s what I’m doing.”
Alex understands the situation because death is inevitable, but he wants everyone to keep praying. He said, “Please keep me in your good thoughts and prayers. It means a lot.”
He understands his medical condition and isn’t afraid of it. Alex’s fears the sadness of the ones he will leave behind. That’s why he wants everyone to keep on praying, and he wants everyone to become closer to God.
Alex said, “As long as I can walk out and greet the audience and the contestants and run the game, I’m happy.”
Alex made a lot of people happy being a showman and he’s genuinely beloved, and people who have been cheered by Alex will continue to pray for him.
