Famous country musician Jo Dee Mesina remembered the moment she met Jesus Christ, and she’ll never forget the encounter. The chart-topping singer had cancer, has financial woes, and she just been divorced. She was down when she met the Lord.

Messina suffered from many trials in 2017. She said to PopCulture.com that it’s not the regular life. She’s glad a lot of her issues wasn’t published because they’re personal, scary, and painful.

The single-mom recording artist is glad that Christ has entered her life profoundly. Messina explained, “About five years ago, Jesus Christ walked onto my front porch and argued with me all day long. As real as I’m sitting in this seat, Jesus came to my front porch, and he’s like, ‘She’s mine.'”

The musician also added, “I just knew it, in the middle of that, in the middle of my spirit and my soul, I’m like, ‘That’s Jesus.'”

Messina is so ecstatic about the newfound spirituality she ran to talk to her next-door Christian neighbor to get more information about Jesus Christ.

She said she knew a little bit about Christ such as Easter and Christmas, but she didn’t know Christ at all. She wanted to have an intimate relationship with Jesus because she knew that He is the answer to her problems. Messina’s new and deeper relationship with Christ resulted in a song cover of the Christian song “Reckless Love”.

Messina now wants to spread the knowledge and love for Jesus Christ through her music. She hopes that more major label music companies will be open for musicians to record original or cover songs about Christ.

The country-singer also said the industry is all about self-promotion and it’s time for musicians like her to glorify Him. Messina said it will be all about Christ from now on, and she’ll never walk away from Jesus.
