Pop megastar Justin Bieber is taking the lead of fellow artist Kanye West. Following the success of West’s Sunday Service and his gospel album titled “Jesus is King,” Bieber is also becoming increasingly vocal about his Christian faith.
In early December, Bieber took to Instagram to share an IGTV video of Pastor Judah Smith. In it, Smith leads a contemplative prayer.
“Good morning, here is a guided prayer to start your day. Find a comfy position and enjoy,” said Bieber.

The prayer makes a reference to Romans 8:38: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Smith then proceeds to thank God for his “love that is so extensive, so extraordinary and unconditional towards us.”
With Bieber being an artist himself, one of Smith’s lines must have touched him in particular. “God is the greatest artist of all time,” said the pastor.
“We love being loved by you. And we love you because you first loved us,” he ended.
According to Faith Wire, contemplative prayer is an ancient Christian practice. It is believed to be one of the inspirations behind the more secular practice of mindfulness and meditation. These prayers are meant to help believers connect with God.
Having someone as famous as Justin Bieber openly sharing contemplative prayer is indeed an inspiring moment for Christians around the world. Reaching millions of people through a simple video, modern technology is enabling his fans to become a different kind of “Belieber.” Now, he is becoming instrumental in turning his fan base into real believers of Christ.
