One of America’s superstar, Sandra Bullock, is known to have played so many roles in the American movie industry, but what she has now is another role that continues on as long as she lives without any script to memorize.
Today, Sandra sits on the spot for an interview with Hoda Kotb. She shares how happy she is in having kids, Louis which is 8 years old, and 5-year-old Laila. She makes it a point that her family always comes first, and it is her priority in life. She said:
“It’s my kids,” she said. “Everything is about them being ok, being in school, having what they need, their moments. I need to be there for every single moment that they have. It’s harder for me to leave them than I think it is for them when I leave. I don’t leave that much, and I don’t work that much anymore either. … So, my priorities are my kids, my kids, my kids. My family. My family. That’s it.”
She always had the thought that her time to be a mother had already passed by without giving it a chance to consider, and that it’s too late for her to be one. But she felt something inside her that said it’s not. And after some years, it came unexpectedly.
“And then (Hurricane) Katrina happened. Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I knew. Like, just something told me that my child was there. It was weird. It was very, very weird,” she added.
Sandra said that it was very timely that she found Louis. She felt that sudden connection with him that made her sure that he’s the child that she’s been waiting to come into her life. She remembered that someone told her in the past that she would find her child and her child would find her.
Hoda could relate to what she’s saying because she, too, have adopted a baby, Haley Joy, in 2017. Both were in tears realizing and reminiscing each of their lovely moments to have adopted kids to be their own.
For them, it’s never too late to have children of their own considering their age. They share their happiness of being a mother that they once thought was not going to happen.
