- “The Way of Holiness”
Isaiah 35:8-10 “And a highway shall be there, and away, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
What is a way of Holiness and what kind of it will be and who are eligible to walk on that?
While I was reading this scripture, God asked me do you know about this way, yes you may be but how many times you try to walk on this, whenever you tried, you have thrown back. Why?
This Why executed me and I started thinking about my life’s incidents.
and the answer I’ve got is “No” I heard these words and I have made my heart to walk on this path, but no, lots of Worldly things, desires, and Good on my own eyes types of thoughts and things stopped me, and showed me a different way.
Yes, that’s what happens when we want to walk on the path of Holiness…
We usually speak of Righteousness and Holiness, but how much this term effect or put its impact on our lives.
This highway that Prophet Isaiah prophesied was, as a matter of fact, the only highway leading those who walk on it to enter Heaven, their eternal home. This Highway was Jesus Himself – “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me’” (John 14, 6)
When a highway is starting it’s start from a certain point and end at the finishing or the destination point.
To reach the desired destination, we have to take the correct route that leads to that very destination.
So here what is the starting point? and where it is? What route is correct so that we can teach to the destination point safely.
The starting point is “Jesus (Yahshua – Messiah)” and the destination point is also “Jesus (Yahshua – Messiah)”, which we have gotten by accepting Christ into our lives as Savior is the sure start of a Spiritual and Holy journey whose destiny is to be with LORD forever and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
That’s what the Scripture indicates or we believe.
The scripture says no unclean shall pass over it, that’s the main point, if we are not clean and haven’t baptized with his holy spirit and washed by his precious blood which he shed on the cross for our sins, then we are still unclean and mistakenly treating or Self consolation to ourselves.
It’s the Blood of Christ who washes your sins and makes you clean and once you are cleaned you get the holy spirit Baptism…but for that, you must repent in front of him, put your burdens on his feet.
The scripture stated clearly that a Highway of Holiness will be established and a certain people will journey on it. Isaiah when he foresaw the birth, suffering, death and subsequent resurrection of Jesus the Messiah, he knew that God was establishing a new and living way, to bring to Himself a people to dwell in his presence.
What Apostle Paul says in Hebrews (10:19 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus”,)
I have heard that a preacher in a village telling people who came new in faith that you have to take water baptism after taking this you will Have the eternal life or the salvation.
How wrong interpretation…….to walk in Highway of Holiness or the Eternal life.
Remember what Jesus said to Nicodemus who was one of the leaders of the religious group and asked him “what can I do to enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:3-6 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is a spirit.”
Once we dedicate our lives to God and start obeying his commandments and start believing in his words …means we have got the permission to walk on that path for which Isiah says in the scripture.
Yes as it says even people who are fools will not get misguided.
What in the World’s eyes we see ourselves,“The Intelligent, The Genius, and different trophies of self Judgement.
are we fooling ourselves…or we fooling God. Ask this question to yourself.
It’s written this world wisdom and knowledge will vanish but the word of God will not vanish and for the purpose, it will be sent it will full fill it and then return to God.
As a matter of fact, the only highway leading those who walk on it to enter Heaven, their eternal home. This Highway is Jesus Himself and only Jesus that’s what John14:6 says.
Isiah verse says the ransome of the Lord, it means our ransome has already paid by our Lord God Jesus who paid this by his holy blood, and whoever washed with his blood will come with songs of worship and everlasting joy, and gladness will be on them no, more sorrow,no more sufferings will be there on those who walk on that Holy path.
The baptism of Holy Spirit prepares us to meet our LORD, without blame, blameless before a Holy Father. To be able to walk on the Highway of Holiness we must centralize on the Holy Spirit of God.This highway of Holiness is not popular with many and actually only a few have the courage to walk on this path.(see “Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
I would like to ask each one of us to re-examine ourselves and see on which way or route we are walking or our walk is wholly based in this Highway of Holiness, which guarantees entry to our destiny, Heaven to enjoy eternal Life with Jesus. Let’s not be found in our own judgment or by God’s measuring yardstick, when He gives the signal for the curtains to finally fall and the fruits of the Cross be gathered. Repentance of sins, bearing fruits of the Holy Spirit as stated in Galatians 5:22-25 “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”That’s what God wants from all of us to walk on the highway of Holiness not the way of wickedness.
