Texas Pastor Says He Was Wrong Not to Get Vaccinated After Covid-19 Near-Death Experience

A Corsicana pastor says his fight against covent 19 has changed his perspective on getting a vaccine. Danny Reeves is not vaccinated and until now did not want to be vaccinated, he talked about his near-death experience that changed his mind.

“There were some moments in here that I had a hard time taking a breath, and I do not not tell you this lightly, I fought for my life” Reeves said.

Danny Reeves is used to teaching the word of god every Sunday at first baptist Church in Corsicana, but over the last few weeks he says he’s been the one learning “God puts us through these moments to teach us lessons and I didn’t mean to be cavalier, I didn’t mean to be overconfident, but you know there’s a lot of people just like me that haven’t gotten the vaccine.”

Reeves says he started feeling body aches and other symptoms in early July and tested positive for kovid 19 a few days later, in about a week his breathing became so difficult, he needed to go to the hospital. Then he spent two days in the ICU, his chances of survival fluctuating by the hour.

“I cried here, I had emotional moments here, I had regret here, you know I recognized that I had been a bit cavalier and that almost cost me.” He said.

After the fight, Reeves got more information for the doctor, and he now plans to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

“I’ve been taught a lesson and I’m big enough and humble enough to say I was wrong and if my survival and my story can be a blessing to others then I pray it is.” He said.

Reeves is still recovering from the virus, but says that he should be cleared to be vaccinated in about 30 days, he also urges anyone who has doubts about getting the vaccine to talk to a doctor they trust to get more information.
