Natalie Browning, 24, was sad to know that his granddad Nelson wouldn’t be able to make it to her wedding because he suffered a stroke just two weeks before the big day.
From Florida to Virginia, she flew 800 miles with her wedding dress to have his first dance with her 94-year-old grandfather.
Nelson had been looking forward to dance with his granddaughter on her wedding night for months, but because of his condition, he was not allowed to travel.
The beautiful bride documented everything, showing her making that 800-mile trip with her long white wedding dress.
In the clip, Natalie is seen leaving her home in the early hours of the morning, proudly holding up her gown – which is wrapped in a protective pink bag – for the camera as she heads out of her front door.
She is then filmed walking through the airport and boarding her first plane with the long garment, before pausing in a second terminal to apply some makeup for the big surprise.
After landing in Florida, the newlywed climbs into the back of a large SUV ready to go to her grandfather’s home – where she got dressed in secret.
The stunning bride then finally gets to let the cat out of the bag, surprising her delighted grandfather with her visit, before twirling him around the living room of his home.
Despite not feeling well, Nelson still showed some pretty impressive moves on their makeshift dancefloor, spinning his beautiful granddaughter around the room – while looking incredibly dapper himself in a white shirt and red tie.
Natalie, a jeweler who is originally from Virginia, admitted that taking her wedding dress all that way wasn’t the easiest thing in the world – but said the journey was more than worthwhile when she got to see the look on her grandfather’s face.
“Getting the wedding dress through the airport was a struggle to say the least, but it was all worth it when I saw his amazing reaction,” she said.
“For months he’d been so excited to dance with me on my wedding night and I’m just so happy that I was able to give him that experience.”
“I don’t get to see him very often so it truly was a special day.”
