My Daughter Had a Rapture Dream—and What She Saw Will Give You Chills

Lily, a young girl, had a vivid dream about the rapture that deeply moved her and her mother. The dream began with her mother asking her, “Are you ready?”—they were together outside when this happened. Immediately, they began ascending upward, as though being taken up in the rapture.

Lily described the sensation of rising as jerky and uneven, comparing it to a car trying to run without gas—a “tatunk-tatunk” feeling, both physically and audibly experienced in the dream. It gave her a real sense of being lifted off the ground in a supernatural way.

Once in heaven, Lily remembered being overcome with excitement. She saw her stepdad, Mark, who had already passed away, and joyfully called out his name. Then she called out for Jesus, eager to see Him.

She described turning a corner and seeing that everything was dark—except for one bright light. That light, she realized, was Jesus Himself. His light stood out in contrast to the surrounding darkness, symbolizing His uniqueness and glory.

Interestingly, Lily noted that in the dream, she experienced emotions beyond joy—emotions that aren’t usually associated with heaven. Her mother later explained that this could be because, according to Scripture, God wipes away all tears after the tribulation, not before (see Revelation 21:4). This insight suggested Lily’s dream may symbolically place her experience before the full restoration of peace in heaven, possibly referencing the timing of the rapture before the final fulfillment of end-time events.

Lily’s mother was deeply moved and believed the dream carried prophetic significance, especially the part about searching for Jesus’ light around the corner, and the strange “car without gas” feeling during the ascent. Although she herself doesn’t claim to operate in prophetic gifts, she expressed openness to God’s guidance and encouraged others to pray for interpretation.

The dream aligns with Acts 2:17, which says that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit and “your sons and daughters will prophesy… your young men will see visions.” Lily’s mother shared this to affirm that God is speaking even through children today.
