Baby Girl Sang ‘Her Favorite Song’ to Mom in Video That Captured Her Last Moments

Magalli Jimenez, a grieving mother who tragically lost her daughter, Ava Skye, to cancer, opened her heart on Instagram on August 23, 2022, to share poignant moments of their final days together.

Ava Skye was born a bundle of joy and good health. However, when she turned 13 months old, Magalli noticed her daughter in distress, prompting a visit to the doctor. It was during this hospital visit that Ava Skye received a devastating diagnosis: Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that targets muscle tissue, as defined by the Cleveland Clinic.

Undeterred by the grim prognosis, Jimenez confronted the challenge head-on. She became Ava’s unwavering source of care and chronicled the arduous journey on her Instagram page. From the grueling rounds of chemotherapy to the precious moments of remission, their story was shared with followers. Yet, their joy was short-lived, as Skye suffered a heartbreaking relapse and was placed under hospice care. Tragically, she lost her battle on August 21, 2022.

In the wake of Ava’s passing, Jimenez turned to Instagram once more, sharing an emotional video captured just a day before her daughter’s departure. In the touching footage, despite her weakness, Ava Skye managed to sing her favorite song, gazing lovingly at her mother while doing so.

With tears in her eyes, Jimenez recalled, “And then she sang to me her favorite song.” In the caption, she poured out her love for her cherished daughter.

Over a year later, on August 30, 2023, Magalli Jimenez shared another heartrending video, this time showing Ava Skye six days prior to her passing. In the video, the 2-year-old, despite experiencing tremors, reached out to embrace her mother after sipping from a water bottle.

Jimenez tenderly wrote in the caption, “No matter what she felt, she always wanted to show me how much she loved me 🤍.” These glimpses of love and resilience continue to touch the hearts of all who follow their story.
