3 Men in An Empty Church Sing Soulful Beatles Classic. This Rendition Is Like Nothing I’ve Seen Before

GENTRI, also known as The Gentleman Trio, has captivated listeners with their timeless tenor trio. They recently recorded a stunning rendition of Paul McCartney’s “Let It Be” in multiple empty cathedrals, resulting in a mesmerizing performance that is sure to make listeners fall in love with The Beatles all over again.

Consisting of Bradley Quinn Lever, Casey Elliott, and Brad Robins, GENTRI combines their terrific tenor talents with the production and composition skills of Stephen Nelson to create soulful soundscapes in a genre they classify as “Cinematic Pop.”

Performing in three sacred sites simultaneously, GENTRI took religion and its importance into consideration, creating a surreal ambiance in the church settings. The acoustical resonance of the sanctuaries combined with the touching spiritual angle of the performance made their song selection, which opens with the lyrics “When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me speaking words of wisdom,” particularly poignant.

Interestingly, the song’s original lyricist, Paul McCartney, is actually referencing his mother in the lyrics and not necessarily Mary, the mother of Jesus. Nevertheless, the song’s positive message and memorable melody have made it an enduring classic.

The group’s stunning cover of “Let It Be” is just one of many impressive performances. They also released a Christmas-themed album titled “Noel,” which features original songs and covers, and continue to update fans with new music through live Zoom performances posted on their Facebook page.
