‘America’s Got Talent’ Star Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski Dies at 31

Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski, a singer who appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” died on February 19, 2022, at the age of 31 after a four-year battle with cancer, according to her family. “Many remember her from America’s Got Talent, where she performed her song ‘It’s OK,’ and inspired millions of people around the world with her messages of faith and never giving up,” Marczewski’s family said in a statement.

“Those who knew her, enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor,” the family added. “Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus.”

“Your voice, your story, and your message touched millions,” “America’s Got Talent” said in a statement. “Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family. Rest In Peace, Jane.” “America’s Got Talent” said in a statement mourning her loss. Judge Howie Mandel tweeted Monday that Marczewski was “such a bright inspirational light in all our lives.”

Terry Crews, the show’s host, said, “”We are saddened to learn about @_nightbirde’s Passing. Our Condolences goes to her Closest Family & Friends in such of This difficult time. We Love you, Nightbirde.”

“Rest in power @_nightbirde. We lost a shining star today. You were a true inspiration to all. Sending so much love to all of Nightbirde’s family and friends. She was something special,” wrote judge Sofia Vergara.

There’s no doubt Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski would have done fantastically well if she had stayed in the competition. Nightbirde, on the other hand, revealed in a heartbreaking health update that her condition had deteriorated. She left America’s Got Talent to focus on fighting the metastatic cancer that was ravaging her body.

Marczewski withdrew from the 16th season of the competition show in August, saying on Instagram that her health had “taken a turn for the worse” since auditioning — an announcement that followed a viral performance of her original song, “It’s OK.”

“I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT,” she wrote at the time. “Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it—but we knew that already. I have a 2% chance of survival,” she said during her initial audition, but 2% is not 0%.”

“Many remember her from America’s Got Talent, where she performed her song ‘It’s OK’ and inspired millions of people around the globe with her messages of faith and never giving up… Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus,” Nightbirde’s family said.

It’s a heartbreaking loss, to say the least. But Nightbirde’s faith before she died should be an inspiration to us all. She knew what awaited her after this life, and it sustained her through the pain she endured. What a blessing to know that, just before she found her healing in Heaven, God provided her with a platform from which she could share her faith with thousands.
