After a Car Crash, Two Good Samaritans Come to Rescue Her from Burning Car

After a crash on a Mission Valley off-ramp early morning, witnesses jumped into action to rescue a woman from her burning car. A vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 8 shortly before 3:30 a.m. when it crashed and overturned at the off-ramp to Hotel Circle. A passing truck driver and a security guard from a nearby hotel both saw the car burst into flames and ran to the scene.

As the fiery wreckage exploded multiple times, the good Samaritans broke a window and rescued the trapped driver. The woman was rushed to the hospital by emergency personnel with injuries of unknown severity.

It was their quick thinking that they were able to pull the woman out of the burning car. Reports say that she was stuck inside the car unable to go out. The car was already smoking and she started to panic. After they were able to pull her out, minutes later, the car exploded and fire completely engulfed it.

The two Samaritans were a truck driver who was passing by and a security guard from the hotel nearby. The security guard said that for a moment he thought of waiting for the woman to go out but he decided that he would help because the person may be really stuck inside it.

While he was running towards the crashed car, he saw a truck pull over to the side of the road and the driver jumping out of their vehicle. Then they both tried to figure out a way to help the woman.

The security guard was thankful that another person came to help because thinking about the situation now, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to do it by himself. But when they reached the car, they could not open the door. This was why they had to pull the driver out of the window to save her.

After the daing rescue, just minutes after they pulled her out, the flames completely took the car. The fire rescue said that it took about ten minutes before they could completely put out the fire. According to them, the cause of the crash is still yet to be determined.

Jesus taught us to do to others what we want them to do to us as well. But we are also taught to simply do good. He even tells us to not let anyone know the good that we did so that our Father in Heaven will reward us.

In a world where social media dominates our lives and everyone seems to want their 15 minutes of fame, we must not fall victim to the idea of being always recognized for what we did. We must do good anytime we can because in a world full of darkness, we can shine a light to those who are in danger or those who are losing hope. Let us encourage one another and continue to show the love of Christ in our lives. Continue to serve others in humility just as Christ exemplified for us.
