After Boy Gets Home, He Sees Newborn Baby under Family’s Christmas Tree

Adam and Stacey Lindsay have always wanted to have more kids because they, themselves, came from large families. But no one has more desire to have a younger sibling than Owynn, their 10-year old son.

“We started our family back in 2007 when our first child, Owynn, was born. We always wanted at least two children. I grew up in a very large, tight-knit family. I had 14 siblings, so I knew how important a sibling would be to Owynn,” Stacey said.

But Stacey had difficulty bearing a child. The couple have tried their best in the last seven years to conceive. She had five heartbreaking miscarriages. They tried in vitro but that also failed. Owynn just wanted at least one sibling to grow with but that seemed to be a hard wish to be granted.

The parents tried to explain the situation to the boy. They said, “He and I had a lot of deep conversations about how sometimes God doesn’t always answer our prayers exactly how we intend him to.”

As a last course of action, they tried to become foster parents. But the process was too tedious for them to handle at the time leading to them not going that route.  “We knew the goal of fostering was to place that child back with his or her family, and our hearts were too sensitive — we knew that part may be extremely hard for our family. My son was heartbroken,” Stacey explained.

Then after a few weeks, they met someone that would change their lives for the better. A young woman was pregnant and was seeking for a family to adopt her child. She chose Adam and Stacey.

“By the grace of God we were introduced to an amazing young woman, Kendra, who wanted to place her baby for adoption. We knew it was a one in a million chance she would pick us, but our prayers were answered” Stacey said.

What they also did was they hid the entire process from their son because they believed that Kendra might change her mind and the parents didn’t want to break their son’s heart again.

So, up to the day of the child’s birth, Owynn didn’t know about it at all. Adam and Stacey were with Kendra when she gave birth to the baby girl. They stayed at the hospital until Kendra gave permission to take the baby girl home. They named her Naylee.

When Owynn returned home from school that day, he was greeted with a fantastic surprise. Owynn was surprised to see his parents home so early when he dashed to the porch. His parents told him that they had a gift for him under the Christmas tree.

The young boy ran to the house and right there he saw a little baby girl. On her shirt it was written: Little Sister. Owynn looked at his mother. Stacey asked, “Is that awesome or what?” Owynn was lost for words and said, “Thank you!” why tearing up.

God has put the situation into action. Although it seems that God does not answer our prayers, He does and provides it in due time.
