The star of Disney’s newly released remake of “Aladdin”, Naomi Scott, shares that her Christian faith is what helps her through life. The live-action remake of Aladdin was released May 24, 2019 in Paris, France, and has become a must-see movie. Scott stars with actors Will Smith (Genie), and Mena Massoud (Aladdin).

However, fame has not changed her attitude toward being Christian. In a response to a blog interview question for Compassion UK, a Christian child sponsorship organization, Scott wrote about how her Christian faith has shaped her career:

That peace that you know you’re loved and valued is something that keeps me incredibly grounded, incredibly focused. Quite honestly, I don’t see it as this separate thing, this add on thing. My faith is just a part of who I am and what I do.

Scott, 26, who is of half-British and half-Indian descent grew up as a preacher’s kid. In this case, both her parents are pastors serving at the Bridge Church, Woodford, in Redbridge, United Kingdom.

Scott, a Compassion UK ambassador, recently visited Rwanda and Ethiopia during a church tour. While touring, she also met recipients of the Child Survival Project and Different Path Appeal sponsored by Compassion UK. The projects help protect women in Africa during their pregnancies, ensuring that their babies have healthy beginnings in life, and have helped numbers of mothers and their children living in poverty or in dangerous environments in Togo, West Africa.
