“Heaven is so Beautiful!” Lauren Alaina’s Stepdad sees Jesus in final moments

Before he died, Alaina said Sam saw Jesus and Heaven.

Country Singer Lauren Alaina shares with 100 Huntley’s Lara Watson how her stepfather witnessed heaven before his passing. The “Road Less Travelled” singer and who rose to fame on “American Idol” and “Dancing with the Stars” publicly wants to pay tribute to her stepfather as a testimony to God’s existence.

“He opened his eyes last night. They shined the brightest I’ve ever seen anyone’s eyes shine, and he said, ‘Jesus,'” Alaina wrote. “We said, ‘What do you see Sam?’ He said, ‘It’s so beautiful.'”

“Mom asked him who he saw and he told her a bunch of people, including his mama. He later said, ‘I love you all. I found it,'” Alaina wrote. “My mom asked him what he found and he said, ‘Heaven. I’ve got to go.'”

Alaina said she wanted to share the story to encourage people about the reality of God.

“An hour later he went to be with the Lord. I want this story to be an example of how real God is,” she wrote. “We are only here for a short amount of time, and we have to live like there is no tomorrow. I want us to all be a little more like Sam.”

Alaina co-wrote “The Other Side” with Jon Nite and Zach Kale, in memory of Sam. “I wanted to create a song that did him justice,” she adds in a press release. “He couldn’t hear me sing without crying because he was so proud of me … I wrote this song so that he can live on, and never be forgotten.”

The faith-filled song that his death inspired expresses an expectation that we’ll see our loved ones again on the other side of eternity.

Lauren Alaina – The Other Side
(Lyrics)
He said I see my mama, she looks about 23
She’s running my way with the angels
Right next to Jesus
Yeah, his eyes lit up, staring at the living room ceiling
And with his last few breaths, he said, I wish you could see it
Don’t you cry for me ’cause I’m in God’s glory
And I can see his face, it’s amazing
I know you have doubts, but I see it right now
I promise it’s real, keep praying
I’ll be waiting, take your time and go write a story
That you can’t wait to tell me
On the other side
Oh, oh, on the other side, oh, oh
I said, someday I’m gonna get married
Better find a way to be up in the rafters
When I have you a grandbaby
I got somebody good to name ’em after
There’s gonna be a lot of sadness
On a lot of happy days
I’ll try to think of this moment
This place and hear you say
Don’t you cry for me ’cause I’m in God’s glory
And I can see his face, it’s amazing
I know you have doubts, but I see it right now
I promise it’s real, keep praying
I’ll be waiting, take your time and go write a story
That you can’t wait to tell me
On the other side
On the other side
All my pain, I get to leave it
It’s time for me to get my healing
So, don’t you cry for me ’cause I’m in God’s glory
And I can see his face, it’s amazing
I know you have doubts, but I see it right now
I promise it’s real, keep praying
I’ll be waiting, take your time and go write a story (story)
That you can’t wait to tell me
On the other side
Oh, oh, on the other side (ooh-ooh)
