A Canadian doctor flying to Uganda was shocked when she was called to respond to a medical emergency. A passenger had gone into labor mid-flight, and Dr. Aisha Khatib was asked to deliver her baby. “I’m thinking, ‘I need hot water. Wait, no, I don’t need hot water,’ but they always ask for it in the movies,” she said. The baby’s mom, a migrant worker from Uganda, stayed calm and named the baby Miracle Aisha, after the doctor who delivered her.
