People are scared of death for several reasons. They’re scared to be separated from their loved ones. Some are not prepared to leave their unfinished business on earth. As a Christian, we do not consider death as a subject of fear. Death is not the end for Jesus is coming back and will give us eternal life.
Avril Lavigne is a famous Canadian singer and actress who started her career when she was only 15 years old. She released a lot of songs which are familiar to most teenagers. She already has many achievements in life in her chosen career. She even won a radio contest in 1999 which gave her an opportunity to perform with Shania Twain on stage. In 2015 she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, an inflammatory disease characterized by fever, chills, headache, and rash which can, later on, lead to the neurological and cardiac disorder caused by bacteria that are transmitted by ticks.
Avril has a lot of sufferings since she was diagnosed with her illness. She spent the last a few years at home sick but still fighting. This brought her to release her new worship song “Head Above Water”. At some point, she already accepted that she is about to die because of her illness. But in spite of all these happenings, she is never scared to die. In fact, she already accepted death and she knows that God has prepared and promised life after death without sorrow and pain.
