Chris Pratt, an award-winning actor, proclaims his love for God during the Teen Choice Awards as he receives the award for “2018 Summer Movie Actor” for his role in “Jurassic World”.

It is not new for this award-winning actor to proclaim his faith everytime he receives an award. Every time he comes up on stage, he always makes it a platform to share his faith and to remind people that they are loved by God. He believes that all the glory belongs to God, that’s why he always bring it back to Him every time he comes up on stage.

Pratt boldly says that, “I want to thank God. I always do that when I’m up on a big platform in front of a bunch of young faces. I say, ‘I love God, that’s my thing, I love Him! And you should too!”

Imagine how he makes an impact in the lives of the young people and in the lives of all the people who watched him on that stage, by just receiving an award!

However, the reality is we do not need to be an award-winning actor to be able to make an impact. Of course, thank God for opportunities like that. But in reality, not all of us are given that kind of platform. However, here’s the truth: God puts you to where you are right now to make an impact! Whether you are a typical student at a university or a part of the varsity, whether you’re someone who works in the corporate or you’re someone who does a blue-collared job, whether you’re an 18-year-old who’s currently exploring life or you’re a 70-year-old who’s already contented with what you have. The truth is you are where you are right now to make an impact. You are where you are right now to glorify Him and to bear witness of who God is. The truth is we are called to be witnesses. God will always open a door or give you a platform to share who He is.

However, sometimes, we are just too preoccupied with the fear of what other people will say or the fear of not being able to do it, that’s why we choose not to say anything. But the Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, “…for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Do not let fear paralyze you. Open your eyes to see every opportunity to make an impact, to make a difference, and to bear witness to Christ, just like what Chris Pratt does.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”—Acts 1:8
