Shaykh Uthman ibn Farooq (One Message Foundation) has been reforming Islam to bring it in line with Western values. A number of critics object to his reinterpretations of Islam’s trusted sources and scholars, and to his reformation of basic doctrines such as jizya (tribute money that non-Muslims are forced to pay in humiliating fashion).
