Our lives are God’s gift to us but it doesn’t mean that we have the right to decide when it will end. Life brings a lot of opportunities where we can truly be happy. It gives us the chance to enjoy God’s creation and there are millions of reasons why we need to take care of ourselves.
Katie Stubblefield is a hard working person and is always equipped with her battles in life. She is an achiever at school and is strong enough to face the obstacles that she encounters. Not until she had made the worst thing life, trying to kill herself. At 18 years old she had a breakdown where she felt anxious and was depressed in life. An unexpected breakup came to her and it weakened her whole being. She took her brother’s rifle and tried to commit suicide. It was the worst decision to come up with, shooting herself thinking that she will be able to escape everything that she’s going through. Luckily the bullet missed Katie’s brain but it caused a big damage to her face. Her physical appearance was ruined by an immature and impulsive decision that she did.
Katie’s family did not stop letting her feel all the support in the world. They stood as an encouragement for their daughter to continue fighting. It hurts them seeing Katie experiencing a terrible situation but they’re not giving up on her. The love of her family members is one of the greatest factors that keep her alive. Doctors told Katie’s parents that she could be a candidate for facial transplant. Despite Katie’s worst decision in life, God has given her a second chance to live life to the fullest.
Life is amazing and we need to learn how to take care of our lives. Committing suicide is never a good option to escape the hard times that you’re going through. Commit yourself unto the Lord and trust in Him for there is no mountains too high that we cannot reach with God by our side.
