This is a story of mercy, redemption, and the continuous pursuit of Jesus. Casting Crown’s song entitled ‘Loving My Jesus’ is our story. It is the story of God’s mercy for us, our redemption from the sins of our past, and Jesus’ continuous pursuit for us. This song reminds us to love our Jesus all the more.
Without Jesus, we are all “wandering soul traveling a well-worn road” We are all lost with no direction, no hope for the future. But the God who’s so rich with mercy and love has called us out of that darkness. Jesus took our guilt and our shame, He died on the cross for the salvation of everyone who believes in His name, and that alone is our motivation to all the more love Him and tell His name to the world out there. This is our message!

We may be scared but those scars are our reminder of God’s love and mercy. That everytime sin knocks on our door, or everytime sin reminds us of the wounds that we have in the past, we will still go back to loving our Jesus. Those scars are also our testimony to the broken world who haven’t yet to experience that same love and mercy that it is possible to heal from that wound, it is possible to be found by the love and mercy of our Jesus.
Having Jesus in our lives, we are no longer who we are before and this life that we have is no longer ours. This life, saved by mercy and love, is a life lived to tell the story of mercy, redemption, and continuous pursuit of Jesus.
