Customers Bow their Heads to Pray for a Chick-Fil-A Staff Undergoing Cancer Surgery

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. (Matthew 18:20, NIV)

At the busy lunch hour, a manager at Chick-Fil-A in Belmont, North Carolina decided to invite everyone in the restaurant to pause and pray for one of his crew members Trish who is undergoing breast cancer surgery. All people just dropped everything they were doing and bowed down in prayers. They prayed to give Trish the strength to overcome and survive her surgery so that she can come back to join her team and serve the community once again.

It was such a heartwarming scene. Many people unite together to pray for someone in one voice in Jesus’ name, no matter they know each other or not. And that is the faith that God cannot overlook but listen to the pleading.

In a modern world where we often choose to count on science and medicine, what does faith mean to us? How can we experience the supernatural power of God? Indeed God is everywhere. He’s right there when we are in distress. Cry out to God anywhere and any time. Pray for the people in our community, especially for those who are suffering from sickness and dying, so that we can experience God deeply.
