Kevin Hart Says God Spoke to Him After Near-Fatal Car Crash

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart is speaking up for the first time since his devastating car crash on September 1. After barely surviving the crash and making it through treatment and rehabilitation, the actor is praising God for saving his life and for giving him a new perspective.

The father of three took to Instagram to share an update on his condition and his state of mind following the accident. “No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. At the end of the day, it can all be over, man,” he said, in a two-minute IGTV video.

“You know when God talks, you gotta listen,” Hart said. He went on to say that the accident was a way for God to reach out to him to send a message. “I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down,” he said.

To further explain his point, he said, “I see life from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is through the roof.” As if to drive the message home, he also shared clips of his three children. He would not have a chance to see them grow up had he perished on that fateful day.

Hart expressed his gratitude to the people that are important to him. Furthermore, he thanked God for keeping him alive. ” God for saving his life. “I’m thankful for simply still being here, on the road to being a bigger and better version of me,” he said.

Ben Stuart, head pastor of Passion City DC, praised Hart for turning to God and for inspiring others. “Moved this morning listening to @kevinhart4real on his Instagram and Kanye on @latelateshow praising God,” Stuart said.

The pastor also spoke about how many people would question the motives of celebrities like Hart and rapper Kanye West, who have become vocal about their faith.“Is it legitimate? What are their motives? I am not really worried about that at all right now. I know God’s motives! He delights in drawing people to Himself,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hart is clearly looking forward to getting back up on his feet and back to work. He has been making fun of fellow actor and good friend, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a series of Halloween posts. Hart has also been using social media to promote his upcoming film, “Jumanji: The Next Level.”
