Christian artist Mark Lowry recently teamed up with an airline pilot for a spontaneous rendition of the classic hymn, ‘Just A Closer Walk With Thee.’
Although the original author of this timeless hymn remains unknown, it was first recorded in 1941 and has since captivated hearts with its profound lyrics and jazzy undertones.

Over the years, Lowry has become a prominent figure in Christian music, writing and performing globally, including collaborations with The Gaither Vocal Band.
During a recent visit to Lynchburg, Virginia, Lowry found himself in the airport, where an airline pilot recognized him and offered to play ‘Just A Closer Walk With Thee’ on a public piano. Seizing the opportunity, the two musicians sat down and embarked on an impromptu performance.
